The 2007 Season so far...
A round up of how Solway Slate & Tile Racing with Chris Palmer riding got on at the recent Isle of Man centenary TT and Steam Packet races.
In the Bennetts Superbike TT race on Monday we finished 13th overall with a fastest lap of 122.823 mph with a race average of 118.915 mph.
In the Pokerstars Supersport TT for 600cc machines we had an excellent race finishing 9th with a race average speed of 120.330 mph and a fastest lap of 121.827mph. 12 seconds covered the riders from 5th to 10th and we ended up as the highest placed private team beating works backed riders such as Ian Lougher and Martin Finnegan.

The Pokerstars Senior TT again on superbikes we finished 11th with a best lap of 123.424 and a race average of 121.091mph.
From there we headed to the Billown road Circuit in Castletown Isle of Man for the post TT Steam Packet races where we competed in three races and got three podiums.
In the Superbike race we finished 2nd behind Conor Cummins and in front of Ian Lougher.
In the 250 we finished 2nd again behind William Dunlop and ahead of Davy Morgan.

Saving the best til last we won the 125 race with Robert Dunlop 2nd and Ian Lougher 3rd.
Road racing is both exciting and dangerous and the Centenary TT was unfortunately not without tragedy and we would like to express our sympathy to all those who where affected by the crash in the final lap of the Senior.
We shall be racing again at the "Cock o` the North" races at Olivers Mount Scarborough on the weekend 30th June and then back to the Isle of Man for the international Southern 100 races at Billown from the 9th - 12th of July.
Thanks for the above are due to Chris Palmer for putting his neck on the line, Sean Oates for performing miracles with the spanners in keeping 4 bikes in a race ready state and Dave Hagen of Evomoto for his ability to make fast and reliable engines and to all sponsors for there support.
